About
Corinne Francis is an illustrator currently in her third-year of the illustration BFA program at Northern Illinois University's School of Art and Design. She also holds a minor in art history.
As an aspiring picture book creator, she is most inspired by the minds and perspectives of children, particularly through imaginative play and how this can be portrayed with visual and written means.
She has been selected for numerous art and academics-based scholarships, including NIU’s highest academic scholarship, NIU’s O'Malley-Pugh Art Scholarship for upperclassmen, and the SuperDog award for exceptional freshman artists. In summer 2025, she studied plein air drawing abroad in Rome.
She currently works at the NIU Art Museum and holds membership in SCBWI.
While not at school, making artwork, or writing, she can be found listening to her record collection, hiking local trails, or playing Animal Crossing.
