About
Corinne Francis is an Illinois-based illustrator currently in her third-year of her BFA at Northern Illinois University's School of Art and Design. She also holds a minor in art history.
As an aspiring picture book illustrator, she is most inspired by the minds and perspectives of children, particularly through imaginative play and how this can be portrayed through visual means.
She has been selected for numerous art and academics-based scholarships, including the O'Malley-Pugh Fund and the SuperDog award for exceptional freshman artists. She recently studied plein air drawing abroad in Rome.
She currently works at the NIU Art Museum.
While not at school or making artwork, she enjoys listening to her record collection, hiking local trails, and cooking.
